the problem with being trans is cis people. The problem with being queer is straight people. The problem with being disabled is abled people. The problem with being Black is white people. In other words, prejudice.

OK so how do we do this? I m not a lawyer just one of many survivors that the courts dismissed as unimportant, not worth protecting. Some animal destroys your life and it s your fault because you knew him. (Thought you knew him). You are right, in that it gives them cart blanc to destroy more women. What can we do to stop them if telling and being destroyed again because you told on your rapist isn t enough to stop them.
No one talks about all the women who self destruct because of rape. You lose the person that you were when someone violates you sexually. You never get over it. Hopefully you learn to live with the continuous pain you carry. It s time we protected the victims not the predators. No one talks about the stalking and harassment these guys continue and how many people they can talk into helping them destroy someone they have never even met. It has become cool to torture those that have already been abused. Here s hoping some of them eventually become decent human beings some day and realize what harm they have caused.
Women need to talk to lawyers previously involved in constitutional law cases (Joe Arvay/barb findlay/Martha McCarthy are good places to start looking) about launching a constitutional challenge for the violation of women’s Section 15 equality rights under the Charter.
I like the color red, the use of color to set a mood. The painting appears to weep, or bleed, profusely or gently, I know not which.
